This committee will participate, as needed, in the development of a Climate Action Plan and All-Hazard Vulnerability & Risk Assessment. The Committee will make recommendations to County Council about technical elements and action items related to the Climate Action Plan, All-Hazard Vulnerability and Risk Assessment, and any ongoing sustainability and resilience work. The board shall consist of a Sustainability Technical Expert, a Resilience Technical Expert, member of County Council, a representative from an Energy Company, a representative from the Homebuilders Association, a representative from Higher Education Institution, a representative from Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Government, a representative from the Chamber of Commerce, and a representative from County staff. Members must live or work in Charleston County. The Committee will meet at a minimum of once every three months.
