The Community Development Advisory Committee provides policy guidance and oversees activities and services under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974.  In addition, the Advisory Board serves as a recommending body to the County Council for Charleston County's Urban Entitlement (HUD) Program.  The Advisory Board consists of representatives from 11 (eleven) local governments and 4 (four) non-government partners. The four non-government partners must include one representative from the financial, legal, and construction fields and one community development representative.
